IDENTITY THEFT COULD LEAD TO IDENTITY FRAUD
Identity fraud is a growing problem and, if undiscovered, can damage an individual's
credit rating and affect future lending decisions for both the victim and their
business. That's why HSBC have teamed up with PrivacyGuard to help
assess your potential vulnerability to identity theft and suggest ways you
could reduce the threat.
Risk Assessment
Identity theft is where personal information is obtained without your consent and often without your knowledge. These details can then be used by criminals to commit identity fraud such as illegally obtaining goods and services in your name.
As a HSBC business card holder, you can find out how vulnerable you are to identity theft by taking this Risk Assessment provided by PrivacyGuard®. By answering a series of simple questions - on areas such as how securely you conduct your finances at home and at work to how you use the internet and social media - you'll discover where you are most at risk.
The assessment should take around 20 minutes and once completed, we will be able to provide you with practical and tailored advice on how you can reduce the risk both at home and at work.
To complete a Risk Assessment, please call our customer services team on 0345 607 2536 who will be happy to help. Lines are open Monday to Friday 8am - 8pm and Saturdays 9am - 5pm (excluding UK bank holidays).
